Drummer Fran Byrne left The Sands to join Bees Make Honey (circa '72) and then Ace.
He performed "How Long (Has This Been Goin' On)"on Top of The Pops

     The Sands Showband
was formed by some deserting Miami showband members.
 Tommy Q'Rourke,(Trumpet) Martin Phelan,(Sax)
Murty Quinn(Trombone) and Bassist Dennis Murray
Bobby Kelly and Fran Byrne, completed the line-up.
Up until December 1972 The Sands had two lead singers Kenny and Quinn.
Tony Kenny came from The Vampires

    'Heart Of Stone' and 'Give It To Me Now'
