Jack Brierley started with the Regal Showband
in 1954
and played with them for five years.
He then formed his own band called:
The Jack Brierley Showband
and played with them throughout the 1960's.

Murt O'Sullivan played chromatic accordion, pianist Donal O'Donovan, trumpeter
Sean O'Leary and drummer Sean Clifford,
For a while they became The Regal Orchestra, Playing Big- Band arrangements in the style of Glen Miller. In the late 1950s they ,became a Showband. with musicians like Len McCarthy and Kevin Lynch Trumpeter Gordon Hanly and Drummer Benno Haussmann from Maurice Mulcahy's Band Vocalist Michael Noonan Other Musicians who played with the Band included Jack Brierly, Marco Petrassi, Mick Ahern and Vocalist Jimmy Cotter (Now a presenter on CORK UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL RADIO) Declan Ryan joined the band in the early 1960's that the band made their first breakthrough. In 1965 he recorded 'I Need You and Hurtin Inside He later left to form The Arrivals |
