Barry Scully R.I.P (Bass)
I am very sad to inform you of Barry's death.
He died of a heart attack on Monday 10/12/07.
He was the musical "brains" behind Gene and the Gents.
He spent the last 17 years in Dickie Rock's backing band
as well as having his own Band Be Bop gold.
We communicated regularly and arranged to meet at the Helix theatre
in
January during the Showband tour.
I will miss him

Relaxing after the show
My future daughter in law, before the show
We performed at the Riverside theatre in Coleraine 19/05/06 and the
Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen on the 20/05/06.
Both concerts were to a packed house.
Gene said: "I was so pleased that so many people turned up especially
as
I had not performed in Ireland for 35 years!
Enniskillen was like a "fantastic homecoming"(I lived there for
6 years)
I am hoping to return next year for about 10 dates to coincide with
the
release of a 4 track cd,tv appearances and radio interviews.
Regards Gene
