Tommy Drennan and The Monarchs
From Limerick
played
a varied programme of big ballads, chart hits and rock 'n' roll, and,
when Tommy Drennan sang "The Holy City" or
"Boolavogue",
the show literally stopped and punters crowded
around the stage.
Numerous appearances on TV , shows such as
" The Late Late Show", "
The Showband Show" and I.T.V:'s "New Faces",
The Monarchs

"Molly", "Connemara Cradle Song ", My Prayer",
"I Really Don't Want To Know"
and their 4-track E.P. "Ballad Time" are still
kept in collections throughout Ireland.
