Sligo man Dermot Henry was the lead
singer with the successful Showband
The Virginians back in the early 70's.
A prolific songwriter, he pencilled many famous
songs
that went on to become big hits in the Irish
charts during that period.
Dermot Henry is still hugely popular at venues
all over the U.S.A
and features with some top Irish stars in
a concert

band are a dynamic Irish Dance band on the east coast.
Sligo born, Dermot now calls the Bronx home
and will delight you with his singing and guitar playing.
Jimmy Lavin hails from Yonkers and
has often won All-Ireland championships on the piano accordion.
Frank McKenna, a Leitrim man now living on
Long Island plays bass and will charm you with his yodeling.
They perform at numerous festivals along
the east coast and occasionally throughout the nation.
Dermot is an accomplished songwriter
and his extemporeaous hilarity and wit along with the band's versatility
will alsodelight you. Dermot's jocularity and quickness are best experienced
and not described!
