The People" were all from Belfast as was
Chris Stewart on Bass(two stints with this band).
I was from Annsborough,Castlewellan.
Tiger Taylor would also have done a couple of stints with the band.

Tony G. Ford and the Stellas,the Silhouettes,the Outer Limits,later Clouds
(Downpatrick,this was the band that Gerry Kelly played with),
the People,later Eire Apparent,(the People were also the backing band for Millie Small and Julie Grant
when they toured Ireland).Thelma and the High Seas,the Night People,
Peadar Cowan,Patricia Gratton and Southern Comfort(both singers ex the Hilton)
Big Ivan and the New County(or Down county) Big Ivan,R.I.P.
