That was the last incarnation of the band with a
lad named Ward from Donegal singing lead.

The Magic Showband
The original line up (left to right in the black and white hand out) was
Mickey Belton (drums),Gerry Gallagher (guitar), Johnny Carroll (trumpet),
Frank Clancy (keyboards), Joe Bernie (sax), John McKenna (bass), and Kevin Walsh (Magic).
Any other members joined the band later, but this was  the original lineup of
Magic and the Swallows,which almost immediately became the Magic Band.
  Hope this helps and keep up the great work.

Strangely enough, all the early stuff they printed said, "Magic Mania."
 It was never really clear even to us in the band whether we were
 "Magic and The Magic Band" or "The Magic Band" or "Magic Mania,"
 but nobody really cared. I think eventually (like when Gabriel was in the band,
 they may have settle on The Magic Band.

who went on to solder wires at Digital and I believe still sings.
