Jimmy Johnston and his band were mighty 'big' during the heyday
of the showbands.
Nowadays, he is busy organising others. As Jimmy Johnston Promotions
he is busy booking artists into entertainment centres around the
country.
Jimmy, on trombone and accordion, toured with his band for 18 years
at the height of the business.
Indeed, it was Jimmy who gave Big Tom the push that shot him and
the Mainliners to stardom.
