From Ballina enjoyed considerable
popularity in the area during the early to mid-1960s.
The drummer in the Dominoes Showband,was Tommy Murphy
now a presenter of the Showband

The Dominoes were also managed by Tommy Murphy.
However, in 1965, Paul Russell from Dublin, who was a presenter
with The Showband Show on
Teilifis Eireann, also became involved in the management and
re-named them
The Montrose Showband after the part
of Dublin where the new television
service was located in the suburbs.
